Travel Writing

I’m a self-confessed travel addict. I caught the bug aged twelve while surrounded by piles of knock-off Disney films and cassette tapes on a humid expedition to a Bangkok market.

Back at school and seeking to avoid a lunchtime detention, I wrote a story about meeting an elephant in Chiang Mai. That was the beginning of a regular pattern of scribbling and daydreaming about my next adventures.

So far, I’ve spent a summer guiding tourists on the Greek island of Kos, tried Punta dancing with lively locals in Honduras and even wobbled down the death road on a bicycle in Bolivia.

My Work

As a freelance writer, I’ve produced tailored copy for numerous holiday companies and travel publications covering a wide range of destinations, including in Europe, Ras Al Khaimah and Vietnam. I’ve written vivid destination overviews, 48-hour guides, blog posts, round-ups, top-tens, vegetarian restaurant reviews and an abundance of hotel descriptions.

My work is consistently well-researched, entertaining and delivered on time. If you would like to see some examples, drop me a line.

My Interests

In a year travelling solo around Latin America, I mastered Spanish to an intermediate level and started to pen a blog to capture my experiences. I continue to write about independent travel and adventure and how these can positively impact your life.

Although I’m particularly partial to off-the-beaten-track destinations, I’m also keen to explore well-trodden paths.

There are very few places in the world that aren’t on my bucket list.
